There are six power sets in DC universe online and each one of them has 2 specialization lines and can be used in two different kinds of roles.
Here is a list of power sets and their specialization lines:
Fire - Immolation and Ignition
Ice - Cryogenics and Storm
Mental - Telekinesis and Illusion
Nature - Shape Shifting and Plants
Sorcery - Summoning and Destiny
Gadgets - Tricks and traps
Each of the power sets have a significant advantage over two other type of powers and they can be used in two of the three roles - controller, tank and healer. As you level up, you will unlock more powers from the specialization line and role you choose.,
